Abstract

Today, the issue of agricultural transformation has gone far beyond the industry and is a key topic of discussion at major international forums. The reason for this is simple - in addition to solving the most important task of feeding the population, agriculture significantly influences the climate goals set by the UN. Tropical deforestation, drinking water pollution, significant carbon dioxide emissions and degradation of fertile land are just some of the by-products of agriculture. FAO - the Food Organization of the United Nations - has declared the transformation of the agri-food ecosystem a priority, including changes in both production, processing and consumption of food. We are confident that the coming changes in the entire food industry will begin with agriculture - with the production of proteins. We are also confident that the scale and speed of change will determine the national leader - the country that proposes and tests international standards for growing and producing food. Standards that will solve, in addition to purely industry-specific issues of efficiency, new issues of recent decades in the field of the climate agenda and population longevity.
