Abstract

The article highlights the importance of the meat and meat products subcomplex, which is crucial for the production of meat and meat products. Sustainable development of the meat industry can be achieved through comprehensive efforts in key areas. Modern technologies are effective for the development of the meat and meat products subcomplex. As one of the key sectors of the agro-industrial complex, the meat and meat products subcomplex holds strategic significance for the country’s economy and food security. This sector encompasses the production, processing, and distribution of meat and meat products, providing essential food products for the population. The main factors affecting the development of the meat and meat products subcomplex are considered. The strategy for the development of the meat and meat products subcomplex of the Russian agro-industrial complex based on the formation of intersectoral connections allows us to conclude that the balanced development of all sectors of the meat subcomplex will create a domestic meat market in terms of structure and volume in accordance with scientifically based medical consumption standards.
