FEED PRODUCTION IN RUSSIA

Abstract

The article notes the importance of the feed industry for providing poultry animals of all species and age groups with complete feed. An analysis of the production of animal feed in Russia from 2010 to 2020 is given. The main problems of mixed fodder production are considered. The structure of feed production in Russia in 2019 was analyzed by federal districts. The leader is the Central Federal District, whose enterprises produced 42.4% of products in 2019, followed by the Volga Federal District - 20.3%, the third position is occupied by the North-Western Federal District - 8.9%. An analysis of the structure of feed production in Russia in 2019 by animal species is given. The main share in the structure of compound feed production belongs to compound feed for poultry - 51.8%, for pigs - 40%, for cattle - 7.7% and others - 0.5%. An analysis of the equipment of feed mills is given. Currently, the share of domestic equipment exceeds 70%, while 15 years ago it was no more than 30%.
