Abstract

Bean seeds have unique nutritional properties as they contain important proteins, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins and dietary fiber. In addition, they contain a variety of biologically active compounds that have an effect on the human body, although they are not essential nutrients. The purpose of this review is to describe the main components contained in bean seeds and their effects on the human body, including both positive and negative aspects.
